How do I print my bibliography?

If you're having trouble printing, please follow these steps:
  1. Once you've logged into EasyBib, in the right hand corner of the screen, click the My Account link
  2. Click on the link for the name of the list you'd like to print.
  3. At the top of the list there is the text "Your Bibliography." To the right of that, there are 3 options. You can either:
    • Save to disk (MS WORD icon) this will allow you to save your file, and you can print from your word processor.
    • View Online
    • Email your list to yourself

How do I cancel my account?

MyBib Pro subscriptions are recurring. This means that every year payments are automatically paid for MyBib Pro through your PayPal account. If there is more than one author or contributor, how are they supposed to be ordered?

Order the author or contributor (editor, compiler, translator) information in the same order that it is listed on the source. This is because certain authors / contributors will be emphasized more than others. To do this on EasyBib, simply enter the author / contributor information in the same order that you have found it. Remember to use the add and pull down fields to include more contributors.

My bibliography does not print

Sometimes when you try printing a bibliography at EasyBib, you are not presented with the appropriate dialog box directing you to save or open your file.

This is often due to the existence of a pop-up blocker. If you use Internet Explorer, you may see a yellow bar at the top of your browser saying that a pop-up has been blocked. If this is the case, click on this bar and select "Always allow popups from this site." This should solve the problem. If you are using the Google toolbar or a different pop-up blocker, you should disable the blocker for our site. EasyBib does not include pop-up ads on its site, so the only pop-ups you'll see are for saving and printing your bibliography.

How do I cite a poem?

There are no specific guidelines in MLA to cite a poem. Instead, cite the poem in the context in which you found it. For example, if you are citing a poem from a book, use the chapter of a book form to correctly cite the poem. For example: Dickinson, Emily. "Ocean Winds." Book of Poems. Ed. John Barlycorn. New York: Random House, 1999. 34-35. If you are citing a poem from a website, fill out the appropriate fields of our website form.

How do I cite a play?

easybib already has a form to cite plays that have been viewed live. However, if you are citing a play from some sort of text, then cite the play as you would cite that specific text. For example, if this play is from an anthology, use our anthology form. Below is an example: Shakespeare, William. "Romeo and Juliet." Norton's Anthology. Chicago: Hampton Publishers, 2004. 55-104. Similarly, if you are citing a play found from a website, use our website form to accurately cite the play. Good luck!

How do I load an old bibliography with MyBib?

EasyBib lets to save your citations into an account. If you have to load an old list, you can just log in by clicking the login link in the upper right corner of every page.

If you used our old version of our site and have a reference number, please create a new account on EasyBib. Once you've done this, you will have the option of importing your old bibliography list into your account.

What do I do with my reference number?

If you have a reference number, then you must first create a new, free account on EasyBib. You can then import your old number into your new account. We save your lists in accounts so you'll no longer have to deal with long reference numbers.

How do I cancel my MyBibPro trial?

How do I create a new list in MyBib Pro or Bib4School?

To create a new list, go the section on your account's home page. Once there, click the "new" button and you'll be able to create a new list.

Does EasyBib provide the MLA format?

What should I do if I cannot find the author of a Web site?

It is not uncommon if you cannot find the author of a website. If this is the case, you will notice that under the website form, author is placed in the optional field. Simply leave this blank and EasyBib will format you citation accordingly.

What is the bibliographic format of the free version of EasyBib?

What does the annotation box do?

At the bottom of each citation form, EasyBib provides an annotation box so that you can write annotations. Annotations are sometimes requested by teachers and professors as a way of describing how to use a source. When you click next to create your citation, EasyBib keeps track of the annotations below each citation of your bibliography list.

How do I continue adding books and sources?

After filling out a form and creating your citation, you will see the choose source tools bar above your citation. Simply continue adding sources.
